Dan started out as a drummer. He played in Rock and Punk bands.

After school Dan was the front man in an Alt. Folk group with his best friend Dean. They were known as The Dean Project.

The Dean Project was in a car crash and Dan lost his best friend in the wreck.

Years later, Dan emerged once again. This time as Donut Dan Jr.
